General Features
Work on your retail or warehouse floor using our QuasarReach mo-
bile app. Whether you are simply checking your shelf prices, pick-
ing a customer order, receiving stock or doing a full physical
inventory count, our mobile app goes where the work needs to be
done.
•
Connect to your database live and work in real time using a
wireless connection or 4GL. For peace of mind, download the re-
quired working data to your mobile device and continue to work
in offline mode if the connection is lost.
•
As you work your data is automatically saved to a local data-
base. If your battery runs out, or if you just turn your mobile de-
vice off for dinner, your data will be there when you are ready to
work again.
•
Scan barcodes, add data, edit data or delete data as required.
•
Security login requires user and password.
•
Main page displays user, company, store, station, and the date
your data was loaded.
•
If connection is lost, simply reconnect when it is time to send
your work to the server..
INVENTORY COUNT
The QuasarReach "Count" feature creates a physical count
record in Quasar Accounting.
•
Move up and down your aisles, scan your items one by
one and enter your count. An item may be entered
once, or multiple times. Quasar Accounting will total the
quantity for you. This ensures an accurate inventory as
you count everything as you come to it.
•
Once your counts are saved you can view them, vali-
date the counts and process them. Inventory adjust-
ments complete with markups/markdowns and
accounting entries will be created for you.
PRICE VERIFY & LABEL BATCH
The QuasarReach "Label Batch" feature is used to scan
your items and verify that the shelf label price matches
the price in your database.
•
Scan your items. The Item description, item size and
item price will be displayed.
•
If the price on the shelf does not match the price on
your mobile device, or if your shelf label is getting
ragged add the item to the batch.
•
When your batch is saved to the server you can then
view the batch and print out your new shelf labels.
RECEIVING
The QuasarReach "Receiving" feature provides the ability
to scan a receiving and generate an electronic packing
slip.
•
Scan your single item barcodes or case barcodes and
enter the quantity of the item being received from the
supplier.
•
Track information such as the vendor, order number,
waybill number, carrier and number of pieces
delivered.
•
When the receiving is saved to the server an electronic
packing slip is generated. At this point you can review
the receiving and post it to an electronic vendor
invoice.
ITEM ADJUSTMENT
The QuasarReach "Item Adjustment" feature provides the
ability to adjust the item quantity or record a mark-
down/markup of one or more items.
•
Scan the item to adjust. QuasarReach displays the de-
scription, item size, current onhand, the last years sales,
the last months sales and the last weeks sales. Use this
information to determine if a markdown is required.
•
An adjustment reason is selected from the defined rea-
sons. This facilitates the generation of ledger entries
and the creation of an adjustment in Quasar
Accounting when saved.
RESTOCK SHELF
The QuasarReach "Restock Shelf" is a tool for the shelf
stocking crew to determine items and quantities to be
brought from the warehouse to the shelf.

View the shelf and determine items that need to be re-
stocked. Scan an item or the shelf label. QuasarReach
displays the current onhand.
•
If the stock is available enter the quantity required to fill
the shelf.
•
From the warehouse use the list to determine which
items to select to restock the shelves.
CREATE LOCATIONS
The QuasarReach "Create Locations" feature provides a
quick way to generate your store or warehouse item loca-
tions. Properly created and set locations facilitates the
ability to pick orders sorted by those locations enabling
the picker to work their way up and down aisles in a sys-
tematic way.
•
Enter sections, fixtures and the bin numbers of your
locations
•
After creating the locations you can then use the "Set
Location" function to quickly set the location of each
item.
SET LOCATIONS
The QuasarReach "Set Location" feature provides a fast
way to set the location for all your inventory items.
•
Select the location from the drop down combo-box.
•
Scan all the items in that location.
•
When the set locations are saved the location will be
updated in each item.
•
Use your new locations to pick quotes and do physical
counts.
PICK A QUOTE
The QuasarReach "Pick Quote" feature provides a pick list
sorted by the quote order, by subdepartment or by
location.
•
From the combo-box select your sorting preference.
•
Next select the quote to pick.
•
The picker is required to scan the item being picked in
order to ensure the customer receives the correct
product.
•
As you pick the items the color changes on the picked
and partially picked lines.
•
Upon saving, a new sales order is created using the
pricing from the original quote. At the time of shipping
the customer invoice can be generated from this order.
PICK AN ORDER
The QuasarReach "Pick an Order" feature provides a pick
list sorted by the item sequence of the order, by subde-
partment or by location. Save your picked order as an up-
dated order or save it as a suspended invoice.

From the combo-box select your sorting preference.
•
Next select the order to pick.
•
The picker is required to scan the item being picked to
verify the customer will receive the correct product.
•
As you pick the items the color changes on the picked
and partially picked lines.
•
Upon saving, either the sales order is updated or a new
suspended vendor invoice is created.
CREATE ITEMS
The QuasarReach "Create Item" feature provides a quick
way to create items using the default information defined
in the subdepartment.
•
Scan or enter the item to create.
•
Once you have created one item all data except the
item number and the description remain unchanged.
This allows for the quick creation of multiple like items.
•
Default data such as taxes, deposit included in price
and taxes included in price are all set from the
subdepartment.
